Contraction-based stabilisation of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems and application to high gain feedback

چکیده
Recent development of contraction theory based analysis of singularly perturbed system has opened the door for inspecting differential behavior of multi timescale systems. In this paper a contraction theory based framework is proposed for stabilization of singularly perturbed systems. The primary objective is to design a feedback controller to achieve bounded tracking error for both standard and non-standard singularly perturbed systems. This framework provides relaxation over traditional quadratic Lyapunov based method as there is no need to satisfy interconnection conditions during controller design algorithm. Moreover, the stability bound does not depend on smallness of singularly perturbed parameter. Combined with high gain scaling, the proposed technique is shown to assure contraction of approximate feedback linearizable systems. These findings extend the class of nonlinear systems which can be made contracting.

This paper examines the problem of designing an H∞ output feedback controller for a class of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems described by a TakagiSugeno (TS) fuzzy model. Based on a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, we develop an H∞ output feedback controller which guarantees the L2-gain of the mapping from the exogenous input noise to the regulated output to be less than some pre...

This article is devoted to the synthesis of composite control for nonlinear singularly perturbed system using feedback linearization (FL). The idea of this method consists in converting the original nonlinear system into a linear one by means of state feedback and coordinate transformation. Then, methods of control theory for linear systems are used for system design. If the original nonlinear ...

This paper considers the problem of robust control for a class of uncertain state-delayed singularly perturbed systems with norm-bounded nonlinear uncertainties. The system under consideration involves state time delay and normbounded nonlinear uncertainties in the slow state variable. It is shown that the state feedback gain matrices can be determined to guarantee the stability of the closedlo...
